Photos or notes haven't reached the office
Everything you capture is kept on the phone first and sent when there is signal. Nothing is lost while it waits. This is how to see what is still on the phone, and get it moving.
Steps
- Tap the menu at the top of the home screen, then Sync and diagnostics.
- Read the top line. Up to date means everything has gone. A line such as 3 waiting to send means some has not, and the boxes below split it into Changes, Photos, Estimates and Payments.
- If things are waiting, find a signal and tap Sync now, or pull down on the screen. Keep the app open until the count reaches zero. Photos take longest.
- Check Refused - a person has to look. If it is more than 0, the office would not take something, and it will not send by itself. Under Photos in the queue, a refused photo says why.
- Tap Send report and send it to the office. It holds counts and sync times, never a customer's name, an address or a note.
Good to know
- Waiting is not lost. The phone tries every minute, the moment signal comes back, and now and then with the app closed. With the app open and a signal, it goes fastest.
- The bar at the bottom of every screen says what is waiting, for example "2 photos waiting to send", or how many were refused.
- Don't sign out with work waiting. If you try, the phone warns you that it has not reached the office. Tap Stay signed in. If someone else signs in on this phone, your work is not sent under their name: it waits for you, and they see This phone is holding someone else’s work and a button to sign out so you can send it.
- The office can see this too. On Crew, the Phones list shows every phone still holding work, how old the oldest item is, and when each was last heard from.
- Low on space? Free space shows it. Below 500 MB, new photos may not be kept safely.
