Export your data or delete your account
On Essentials only.
Your data is yours. Download all of it whenever you like, and delete your account from inside the app when you are done.
Steps
To download everything:
- On the web, open Company.
- Under Your data, click Download everything. The ZIP can take a moment to prepare.
To delete your account, on the phone:
- Tap the menu at the top of the home screen, then Account.
- Under Delete account, type your company's name where it asks you to confirm.
- Tap Delete my account and the company, then Delete.
On the web, the same is on Account: click Delete my account….
Good to know
- The ZIP holds a spreadsheet (CSV) for each kind of record, every photo and signature as a file, and
records.json, a copy for moving to another system. The spreadsheets open in Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets. - Only an Admin can download everything.
- Download before you delete. The phone has nowhere to put the ZIP, so use the web. The web's delete form has Download everything first.
- When the owner deletes, the company stops working at once, for everyone who works there. It is deleted for good after 30 days. Until then you can sign in, download everything, and tap Keep the company to change your mind. Your plan is not renewed.
- When anyone else deletes, they tap Delete my account. Their sign-in is gone at once and they cannot sign in again. The notes, photos and signatures they added stay with the company, as its record of the jobs.
- If you own a company, sign in to that company to delete your account. Deleting it deletes the company too.
