Steps
- Install the app from the App Store and open it. Or open the office web app in a browser - the steps are the same, and you click where the phone says tap.
- Tap Start a free trial.
- Tap Continue with Google, Continue with Apple or Continue with Microsoft. Or fill in Your name, Email and Password (at least 8 characters) and tap Start free trial.
- If we email you a confirmation link, open it, then sign in.
- On Set up your company, type your Company name and choose What you do: Heating & cooling, Plumbing, Electrical or General repair.
- Leave Start with sample customers and jobs to try things on switched on if you want something to practise with.
- Tap Create company. Your trial starts now.
Good to know
- The sample data is made up: customers named "Sample · …", their addresses, a price book for your trade and four jobs. The four jobs are assigned to you, so they are on your phone too.
- When you are ready, click Clear sample data on the Company tab on the web. It removes only the sample records. Anything you added yourself stays. Only the Admin can do this.
- The Company tab shows your plan and the day your trial ends.
- Setting up needs a connection. If it stops half way, tap Create company again. It carries on from where it stopped and never makes a second company.
- When the trial ends, the owner chooses a plan. Nothing is deleted.
- You own the company, so you will be asked to set up two-step sign-in. See Two-step sign-in.
- Joining a company that invited you? Do not start a trial. Sign in with the email they invited and tap the Join button with their name on it.
- Business and Enterprise have no self-serve trial. Their people sign in with Microsoft work accounts.
